Powder Mountain Updates for the 2008-2009 Season

By utah_ski_vacation - Posted on 07 November 2008

Powder Mountain, UTAH, August 22, 2008 - Guests have come to expect personal attention and an atmosphere that makes them feel like part of the family. Our focus in 08/09 will be to ensure that the high guest satisfaction resulting from the “family resort” attitude continues even as more and more guests visit our mountain.

Mountain Adventure Center
A new Mountain Adventure Center located near the Timberline Lodge will house all of Powder Mountain’s adventure programs including Snowcat Powder Safaris, Mountain Adventure Tours and the Snow Sports School.

Lodge Improvements
The Timberline Ski Shop will be expanded for increased storage to hold the new rental stock purchased and for the new tuning equipment that will keep skis and boards in top shape.

Restaurants in all three lodges will be renovated to improve guest flow and to allow additional menu options. Guests can still expect their favorite Powder Burger, chili and fries along with the new menu items. All changes are designed to minimize the time guests spend off the slopes on a powder day.

Additional Snowcat Terrain
Last season, Powder Mountain started all day guided snowcat tours called Snowcat Powder Safari. The program was so popular that terrain available via the snowcat has been increased 100% to 2,000+ acres.

Improved Value
Powder Mountain has a reputation for being an excellent value. In fact, it has been rated in the Top 3 for value in the 2006 & 2007 Ski Magazine. Since families across the nation and locally are concerned about rising costs, Powder Mountain is taking steps to ensure that everyone can enjoy the sport of skiing.
Changes include:
• Rolling back the price of a night lift pass to 2002 rates. An adult night pass will be $15 and a child (7 – 12) will be $12.
• Starting night operations one hour early at 3:00pm so that guests can enjoy a few hours of sunlight.

• The shuttle bus from Eden will be free of charge.
